TomC, a true champion

With many of you gearing up for this weekend's NorCal Sectional Qualifier, I thought I'd provide you with that little bit of extra motivation you might need to push you over the edge into the realm of competitive greatness.

Behold TomC!

CFO Schedule

A big heads-up...due to Sectionals, the gym will be closed this week as follows:

Friday 3/26:  Open Gym from 3:30pm to 5pm
Saturday 3/27:  All Group Classes and Open Gym
Sunday 3/28:  All Group Classes and Open Gym

So no open gym on Friday, and nothing at all on Saturday and Sunday.

Just in case you didn't get what Mike was trying to say... wait, what were you trying to say Mike?

Good stuff, Tom.  That got me so pumped for this weekend!! Can't wait to sleep on the couch, eat ice cream and get chewed out in Spanish by a Moreno sister.

Btw, you look downright svelte in that video!  And for all you newbies - that is Tom's band playing in the background.  Truly a man of many talents.

Light weight!

Thanks for clarifying, Robyn. I was baffled for a second. I'm so sad that there's no CFO this weekend! Boo-hoo. Oh, and I just had the most delicious chocolate cupcake from Whole Foods. It was ridiculous.

anyone want to work out Sat. a.m.? perhaps at piedmont track??

Brian - saturday, Piedmont track....whatcha thinking?

Bodyweight stuff with sprints?

We're going to be posting workouts that can be done at the track on Saturday and Sunday.

I'll defer to Mike's workout. I'll be at the track at 8:00.

I'm down to workout at Piedmont track on Saturday, bright and early, at 8am

Good luck to the CFO studs competing this weekend!  I hope you guys kick some a** and have fun doing it...

Tom I want more of your video prowess, can you make another?

Your faithful cheerleader,

Nicole

How about this:

Drive to San Jose for time

4 Rounds

Cheer on all CFO members competing

Talk smack about everyone else- especially the girls in booty shorts and knee socks

Drive back home from San Jose

Repeat Sunday, don't forget to drink lots of water and wear your sunglasses!

are booty shorts and knee socks frowned upon? Thats my CFO uniform...

TomC, a true champion

Damn right.

Btw, you look downright svelte in that video!

I thought the same thing. Those were the days in which I was not fully committed to becoming a Hippopotamus amphibius. I noticed that I referred to my weight in that video as 200 lbs. I'm not sure I was quite 200 back then. Ah, how times have changed...

Tom I want more of your video prowess, can you make another?

Nicole, for you, I may consider doing so. I will need to come up with a premise that will support another 5 minute video. Let me see what I can come up with. I've got several additional songs that could be used for the soundtrack, so it is a possibility.

Talk smack about everyone else- especially the girls in booty shorts and knee socks

Personally, I am a big fan of the women in booty shorts and knee socks. In fact, I encourage those things. Long live booty shorts and knee socks.

I wish our competitors luck this weekend. I will be down there snapping lots of photos to properly memorialize the needless struggle to complete the painful tasks laid out for you.

As an aside, everyone should compete. It's fun. Ask anyone that does these things whether they enjoyed it, or not. In almost every case, the answer is yes. Whether or not you have a prayer of winning doesn't matter. I mean, we cannot all be me and completely dominate all athletes just by showing up. That's understood, but even so, compete. I believe we'll be having one or more team competitions after the Sectionals with local Bay Area CF gyms. Yes, you will give up a decent chunk of your weekend to exercise, but it is fun. I promise.

Yeah, the booty shorts & knee socks look is pretty hot. Lance and I will be at the Piedmont track at 8am, and heading to San Jose shortly afterwards. We're looking forward to cheering everyone on!

Mike - you might want to update the class schedule for Friday to remove the open gym slot. Since you have such a fancy calendar now, poeple rely on it. :-)
