Alright, now that we all know what the workouts are, lets focus on the more important stuff--like what ya'll are going EAT! Let's not let those silly muscle-ups diminish the powerful effects of food, people. Believe it or not, what you put in your mouth will ultimately be your body's fuel for the workouts this weekend. What's more, the meal following your workout, especially in the first hour immediately after, is equally is critical for a speedy recovery.
In the final days leading up to the Qualifiers, let's make sure that we cover all our bases in food department. The last thing we need is to get to Aromas with no fuel in the tank! I've put together a list of some easily transportable foods and items that you should not leave home without. Feel free to add to the list or make some special requests in the comments of this post.
Note: It may get pretty hot in Aromas so plan accordingly. Bring food that will keep well in the heat. And don't forget, Lance and Fuel2Go will be selling meals on site.
The Basics:
1. Coolers to store food/drinks. We need as many of these as possible.
2. BBQ Grill. Does anyone have one they could bring?
3. Utensils, plates, napkins
The goods:
1. Fruit (apples, oranges, grapefruit, grapes, plums, berries, etc.)
2. Water (will be provided on site)
3. Meat
4. Cheese
5. Hard boiled eggs
6. Protein bars
7. Nuts (all kinds)
8. Avocados
9. Nut butters (peanut, almond)
10. Fresh veggies (celery, carrots, cherry tomato, cucumber, etc.)
11. Veggies for the grill
12. Dips (salsa, hummus, pesto)
13. Corn tortillas
14. Bread
15. Cerveza
What will you be bringing to the Qualifiers this weekend? Post to comments.

I will be bringing my lawn chair, sunglasses, and my "Audge/Brandon is #1" t-shirt.
We'll be setting up the hospitality tents like at the games last year, there should be plenty of shade or shelter from rain along with tarps, massage table, and extra chairs. If someone does have a gas grill we can borrow we would be forever grateful....
Polenta! You can get these great little tubes of it at Trader Joe's that don't need to be refrigerated. And it's really tasty when grilled with a little cheese on top.
I wish I could be bringing myself to the qualifiers, but instead I'll be cheering, over the internet, from Oakland. Good luck everyone!!
I think I still have bruises on my butt from Nicole's post-hill run massage. It was truly the best massage I've ever had.
sign me up for a butt massage. oh, we're not running?
I'm bringing the Motha Truckin' Heat!
Milk would do great!
I have a gas grill if someone has a truck to take it in- let me know...
If Megan will be there with her "mens mister" that will be all the sustenance I require.

While this is not nutrition related, it is of interest to the CFO community. The health benefits of running barefoot, or with a minimal shoe, have been suggested by many. I believe there was an article on Tera-something shoes on this blog a year or so ago. The Daily Mail over in the UK has an interesting and well written article about running shoes.
Are Running Shoes a Waste of Money?
If anyone is interested in going down (early) Saturday morning, let me know. I have loads of space in the wagon. 510-316-6024
I can't seem to find any information on NorCal Qualifier site regarding the location of The Ranch. Can someone please post a link to a page where I can find this info?
