Fitness? Yea, I'm down with it.
First CFO WOD in over two months. I subbed the MUs, HSPUs, KBSwings and only lasted 18 of the 20 minutes......but dang, it felt good.
Funny socks - did you show up? Trust your 2nd honeymoon was amazing.
Mike, Nicole, and the rest of the CFO community - I've said it before on the blog, but as "fun" and effective and challenging as the workouts are at CrossFit, it's the community that keeps me coming back. Seriously, when an large group of people will re-arrange their lives to come watch a couple shirtless guys lift 135 pounds over their head 30 times...well, you just can't get more supportive than that! (Of course, the real fun would be to come back tomorrow and watch them tackle Death by C&J.) So, thank you to each and every one of you that helps keep this special community alive.
Also, heard a good quote in some New Age drivel I was listening to: Strength is the child of effort and pain.
post-script from last nite's post -
I'm sore, I need a massage.
Nabil, you free?
laughter apparently also helps.

I am personally working toward building a fat community.
So who won the Grace-Off yesterday?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Look, even the NY Times thinks all hope is lost. You and I both know that when it appears in the NY Times, it is always 100% correct.

Bonus points to people who can point out the blatant factual inaccuracies that permeate this sad excuse for journalism.
Brandon won the "Grace-off". It was seriously legit...he killed it with a 1:37 (or something close to that).
Nice job to both of you (Brandon and Daniel) as well as Candace for winning the women's division and all the other competitors. Sounds like a tough battle to the very end, and good sportsmanship on all sides.
Nothing against Daniel and Tamara, but it is nice to see a new set of winners. As my little sister put it when asked who she was voting for in the presidential election (it was Reagan vs. Carter, and she was in Kindergarten that year) - "I'm voting for Reagan, cause Jimmy Carter already had a turn!"
and speaking of which, DON'T VOTE this year:

one thing you need to build a fit community is a BIG CLOCK. that thing is great. i predict much higher levels of fitness will ensue.
on my 2nd crossfit anniversary, i want to say thanks very, very much to mike, nicole, the trainers, and all of you inspirational athletes. CFO is the best.
Happy Anniversary, Joe!
Yes, happy anniversary, Joe!!
1. Joe: Happy Anniversary! I feel like Nicole and I are the lucky ones.
2. Brandon did indeed have the faster Grace time (1:39 vs. 1:55) but Daniel won the contest. More on this on the
Happy anniversary, Joe. My one-year is coming up soon. I'll have to look at see what my first WOD was and redo it.
I agree with Joe, btw, that it's great to have a BIG CLOCK. Thanks to Sham and friends for getting it up. I'm sure Mike's been playing with it all day.
Hey Coach Minium.
Nice shirt!
